Profhilo Body

Profhilo Body is a new treatment that specifically targets sagging skin on your abdomen and the inside of your arms. However, places like your knees, buttocks, hands, cleavage, neck and neck are also suitable for a Profhilo treatment. Using this technique improves the structure of your skin and corrects skin laxity. Profhilo Body uses high concentrations of natural hyaluronic acid that Doctor Irene injects into the treatment area. The treatment is specifically designed to treat the elasticity of your skin.

What indications can you treat with Profhilo® Body?

Profhilo Body tackles skin aging

Profhilo Body addresses skin aging and is an innovative treatment that acts directly on sagging skin, firms the skin and provides a more youthful appearance. The treatment stands alone and fits alongside other non-surgical treatments such as fillers and/or Botuline Toxine. Profhilo not only provides deep, long-lasting hydration, but reshapes the skin by stimulating the natural production of collagen and elastin. This makes your skin smoother and tighter. The treatment is suitable for treating all parts of your body, reviving thin skin, improving your skin elasticity and minimizing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on your face, neck, décolleté, abdomen, arms, knees and hands.

When is Profhilo Body an appropriate treatment?

The Profhilo treatment is versatile and is ideal for skin care. You can use the treatment preventively to stimulate the natural production of collagen and elastin to keep your skin fresh and firm. The results of the treatment are realistic, subtle and natural. The technique is suitable for anyone who wants to hydrate their skin and make it look younger. Although hyaluronic acid is a natural product, some people should avoid the treatment.

This is especially the case with:

– Bleeding and/or clotting disorders;
– Severely compromised immune system;
– Active infections in the treatment area;
– Familiarity with certain allergies;

Pregnant or breastfeeding women also delay treatment with Profhilo.

The Profhilo treatment

Upon arrival at the clinic, a comprehensive consultation takes place first. Doctor Irene talks to you about skin problems and the results you want to achieve with this treatment. The skin you want to have treated is examined to make sure you are a good candidate for the treatment. Are you on medication or known to have a (chronic) condition? Discuss this with Doctor Irene. The doctor then puts together a treatment plan that specifically addresses the skin problems discussed.

Carrying out treatment

No special preparation is required. Doctor Irene injects the Profhilo Body with fine needles under the skin into the problem area. Exact injection sites on the skin were determined and marked in advance. Injections are administered at only 10 points per treatment area; due to the strong concentration of hyaluronic acid, the product spreads evenly under the skin. The procedure is quick and is usually completed in 30 minutes, all depending on the size of the treatment area and the amount of product Doctor Irene uses.

Aftercare

After treatment, the doctor applies a Profhilo Figura Body Patch to the treatment area. The patch has soothing and moisturizing properties. After a few hours, you may remove the patch. You are advised to massage the skin daily with the Profhilo Figura Body Cream. It is an emollient cream that moisturizes the skin and improves elasticity. After 4 weeks, it is possible to repeat the Profhilo Body treatment. Do not engage in intense sports for the first 48 hours after treatment and avoid sauna, jacuzzi and tanning beds for 2 weeks after Profhilo treatment. To maintain the results, you are advised to have semi-annual maintenance treatments.

Tips for a prosperous recovery

With a few practical tips, you will speed up recovery and reduce the chances of side effects and complications.

– From 48 hours before treatment, do not use alcohol and do not wear makeup.
– After treatment, try to avoid intense exercise and physically demanding work for the first 48 hours.
– Body massages in which you have the treatment area massaged should only be applied from 2 weeks after the treatment.
– Do not expose your skin to sunlight unprotected. Use a good sunscreen with a high SPF factor.

Risks and recovery time

After a Profhilo Body treatment, there is usually minimal to no recovery time. Everyone is different, but in many cases you can resume your daily activities immediately after treatment. The treated skin may look a little bumpy, but this subsides after a few hours. Swelling, redness, slight bruising, itching or sensitivity to touch are possible at and around the injection sites, but this should disappear within 2 to 3 days after treatment.

Profhilo treatment sessions

Treatment initially consists of two sessions four weeks apart. The Profhilo is then absorbed deeper into the skin layers and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin. After six months, your body naturally breaks down the hyaluronic acid. Since everyone is different, this may vary depending on the amount of Profhilo used during treatment. Because everyone is different and has different skin problems treated there is a difference in the time in which you see results. From immediately after a treatment session to waiting a few weeks. You will see the best results 2 months after treatment. Your skin looks fresher, healthier and younger.
